How can decarbonised fuels alongside electrification help the region become a pioneer for clean mobility in Europe? This key question was at the heart of an expert discussion focused on Europe’s energy future and the opportunities for transport decarbonization in Central and Eastern Europe.
The summit was simultaneously interpreted between Czech and English. All presentations were available in both languages, enabling participants to actively engage regardless of their language preference.
The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic.
The summit took place on 22–23 April 2026 at the Grand Hotel Prague Towers, Kongresová 1, Prague, Czech Republic. Over the course of two days, representatives from the public sector, industry, academia, and the professional community came together to discuss the future of transport decarbonization and the energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe.
The Grand Hotel Prague Towers offered excellent accessibility. The hotel is located directly next to Vyšehrad metro station (Line C), just a few steps from the entrance. Participants could reach Prague city centre (Muzeum / Main Railway Station) within minutes, just two to three metro stops away. Several bus and tram lines were also available nearby, providing convenient connections throughout Prague. Václav Havel Airport Prague was accessible within approximately 35–45 minutes.
Summit participants were offered the opportunity to book discounted accommodation directly at the Grand Hotel Prague Towers. This special offer was available until the allocated room capacity was fully booked.
The event took place in the SUITE 2 Hall on the third floor of the hotel. Directional signage to the venue was clearly marked from the hotel’s main entrance. Participants could access the hall by both stairs and elevator. A staffed cloakroom was available throughout the event.
Parking was available in the Grand Hotel Prague Towers underground garage as well as in the outdoor parking area.
Hotel guests could park free of charge, while other participants were offered discounted daily parking rates. Public parking facilities were also available in the vicinity of the Prague Congress Centre, including the parking lot directly in front of the PCC and nearby Park & Ride (P+R) facilities.
Throughout both days of the summit, participants had the opportunity to visit the Sustainable Truck Park, located directly in front of the hotel. The exhibition featured trucks powered by HVO, bioLNG, and electricity. Expert teams on site provided practical information about the showcased technologies and shared real-world experience from their daily operation.
A dedicated Networking Lounge was available on the ground floor throughout the summit. The lounge provided a space for informal meetings, discussions, interviews, and business meetings. It served as a hub for networking and exchanging experiences among participants from different countries and sectors.
